  • Rules that catch mistakes for you

    Set the rules your department works to. UPRota highlights gaps, missing cover and unsafe supervision the moment they appear.

  • On-call rota that talks to the weekly schedule

    Paste your on-call column in once and it fills down the dates. The week then knows about it — so somebody on a list the morning after a night is flagged, not missed.

  • Job plans built in

    Add each person's job plan, and the week starts from what they're contracted to do.

  • Leave and swaps, made simple

    Record annual, sick or other leave in a few clicks, and swap sessions without redrawing the week.

    Choose what goes on the printed rota and how it looks, for the noticeboard or the theatre door.

Shaping it with you

UPRota would like to grow with the people who use it. Suggestions for changes are welcome, and will be taken forward where they add value for departments using it.

In time it may also join departments up. If the surgical specialties and anaesthetics both took it on, their two rotas could become one combined theatre rota — the same list seen from both sides, planned once instead of twice. That is not built, and it depends on more than one department wanting it.
